What I write about
The site is organised into five topic areas: microgreens (the most covered, since that's where I started), indoor gardening, composting, hydroponics, and outdoor gardening. The newest additions are short, dated entries in the journal, which I started in 2026 to follow our outdoor garden season.
Where I write from
I garden in Latvia. The journal records what happens in our own garden, so its planting dates and results reflect our conditions. When applying a guide elsewhere, account for your weather, growing space and the needs of the crop.
How I work
Garden reports describe what we've actually done, including decisions we'd change. Practical guides also draw on gardening references, with sources linked where they support the advice. Some articles contain affiliate links that help support the site; an affiliate link alone does not mean we've tested that product.
